Is this the norm for heavy braking ?

Sometimes under heavy breaking ( mostly on the Mway) the front of the car tends to twitch about or move side to side very noticeably.

Is this the norm for this sort of car or something ?

Car in question, E46 330d touring M sport, Vredestein Ultracs all around 5-6k old.

Sounds like your bushes/control arms are going/gone. Common E46 problem, have them looked at.

Totally agree with the above, rear bushes on the wishbones probably shot. Make sure you get an alignment check after fitting new ones too.
