I went from cast manifold to Wortec headers on an 05VXR with a HH112 and got a whole extra 20ftlbs torque and no extra ponys.
It just happened earlier and steeper, so it felt much stronger though.

It should be related directly to power at that point it was measured.

Be interested to know what weight saving options you can do, was discussing it a while back but not many options seemed to be on the cards without replacing exisiting parts with mega expensive bespoke items!

As I say mega expensive bespoke parts lol, getting onto 5k worths of stuff including fitting which to me is a massive amount of cash for the weight saving potential.

Alternative end of the scale, take out the spare wheel, never put more than £7.50 of fuel in it, make sure the washer bottle is empty similar weight saving for no cash haha

By replacing body parts with carbon fibre does it effect the safety of the car?? You know like in an accident??

Body panels do virtually nothing in an accident its the supporting structures underneath that do all the work!

rofl true .. my the boy is putting on weight to

wheels are the biggest saving...so iam told , if you save 20kgs of unsprung weight..that works out the same as 80kgs internal weight smile

Yeah very true on the wheels, always remember on my old Volvo had std 17' BBS alloys that didnt weigh much, bought a set of 19's for it mail order and they weighed an absolute ton, totally destroyed the handling of the car!
