V1 PER - Willing to sell with car or seperately. Offers over £60,000 only will be considered.

I think anyone who,s willing to spend £60k on a number plate either needs their bonce tested or have got far more money than sence when with the money you could by a rather nice ACR in Viper Blue!

Only MOP

I think the car was sourced from Canada

Unfortunately it is irrelevant where the car was sourced from, the only year that this car was manufactured in Silver was 1998. (with 127 cars built in that colour)

Do you think if i dobbed him in to the DVLA they would confiscate the plate for displaying it on a older car, maybe they would then award it to me as the good citizen and i could put it on the vette for a while

It may be that the car was imported in 2000 and registered in the UK that year... Can't remember which year it was that the rules were changed on this, but a while back cars were registered on whatever year the car was imported, rather than the year of manufacture.

thought it was always done on date of first registration (anywhere), apart from when they don't trust you and do it further back to manufactured date. I doubt very much that they would knowingly make a car appear younger than it was. But this is the DVLA well known for their consistency.

Not sure, maybe I got the wrong idea on that, but I thought that there was a change in the way it was done a few years back, mainly because of this type of issue.
