Has to be Holland, if they are good enough to whitewash our group, then they are the GREATEST TEAM EVARRRRRRRRR.

If either of the Irelands or Poland make it then I'll be cheering them on, mainly because I've got plenty mates of those nationalities.

(I also have plenty English mates, but they understand it would offend my sensibilities to cheer on their team. They love a bit of verbal sparring anyway).

England do look worryingly efficient at the moment though. frown

Holland are a force to be reckoned with despite the piss easy group they got.

Germany are my team for this year. Same as every world cup in the last decade frown

I can't see anybody beating Germany, (with the possible exception of Spain). England will probably fall apart like they normally do.

England, have never got this stupid crap of supporting any other team but England. Time we got over the fact that we are crap at football and England are better. if they hold it together they are in with a good shot this time around, heat and altitude might get them though. Smart money would be on one of the south american teams for this reason.

They've not shut up about 1966 yet, I can't bear the rest of my natural life with commentators mentioning it Every. Single. Game.

SA isn't all that hot in June/July what with it being the middle of their winter. Did you watch any of the Lions games this summer? Some were played in miserable weather.

Altitude is a fair point, but I can't see Bolivia making it out of the South American group! If Ecuador do sneak through, then it's likely to be at the expense of Argentina.

The English media are amateurs at this.
Try watching rugby in Ireland!

I think England have a good chance as the spine of the team is surely one of the best in the World(Rio,Terry,Lampard,Gerard,Roony) and they have a successful Italian manager who knows the game inside-out.

And with France,Portugal and Argentina looking like at least one of them wont make it. There is not that many better teams.
