I was shocked and horrified to find that fatals have risen from last year in Northants. This despite ever increasing amounts of cameras (8 new this year) and more speed focus with laser vans, "community speed watch" and tripe than ever! In fact, this magic figure has never properly fallen since the cameras were introduced.

Time to stop this stupid fixation, especially under the emotive vale of safety, which is sickening. Their own figures don’t lie! Casualties have increased, How can they possibly say it is safer? All this from a force that is the second highest revenue earner, and that took so much under the netting off scheme that they had to give the government money back!

Either be honest about why you really use speed, or use it as a part of a strategy to hit the real reasons why accidents really happen, and do what you claim you want to do so much. Reduce the accidents, and save lives. Maybe then you will gain the peoples support, instead of their cynicism and resentment.

instead of writing here, preaching to the converted, have you ever thought about taking direct action? .. if u feel this strongly surely you should be doing something active .. at least join the ABD if u haven't already and pester ur MP with nightly fone calls ..

Nightly phonecalls... Definitely something to consider! You just get the usual replies though when contacting them. The standard BS.. 1/3rd lie etc etc.. Akin to banging head against wall. I wonder if safespeed would like to give em a try
