Discussion
Im trying to find who is getting an RS6 saloon demonstrator now that i can buy in 3/6 months, it appears Audi dont know ? when I called the Cust service line they called Warrington and asked them ?!? they of course can only see within their own parent.
Im after a Mugello with cream and 20" 7 spokes if anyone knows of one (Im aware of the one at Stoke that arrived on thursday sadly on 19" wheels)
Any help appreciated

Unfortunately whilst I work for an Audi dealer it is not a franchised dealer and we only sell used vehicles (although the emphasis is on S and RS).
You are correct in that the RS6 is now out of production, there may well be some unsold stock within the network as the RS6 saloon was introduced quite late in the models life.
The large discounts you're talking of were towards the end of the RS6 (18 month ish) production run where the was a lot of stock lingering within the network and nobody biting. To the degree that dealers were calling us and offering us brand new cancelled orders for less than the cost price of the car just to get the damn things shifted and off the books before they lost even more money.
Audi responded to the problem by allowing the dealers to write down the cost of the cars (all Avants as I understand it) by what was reputed to be 30,000 pounds to let them sweeten the deals on these cars and get them sold while Audi cut back the number of cars they were producing. I don't think the saloons were affected by this.
It was a massively expensive car at the peak of its production run at the very worst point of a recession.

Thanks Dr G, I have been advised that a Avant should be prices at a lot less than a saloon but I dont want one anyway so no issue there.
I have asked a few dealers to look out for a Mugello with 7 spokes at under £60k and most think this is an impossibility however we will see, I think the mini rally of the ftse and the summery weather has made a lot of dealers thinks its kerching time again
If you come across anything let me know please
