Wing mirror search

I'm hoping that some one can help me. My of side door mirror has snapped off, does anyone have a spare one lying around that they would swap for some beer tokens or can direct me to where I can get one from? Basically all I need is the internal metal frame.

Wow that was quick. No I need the part that attaches on to this that extends up and forms the internal structure that the external casing attaches to (does this make sense?)

Thanks for trying, I'm afraid that this is the base unit again and I need the next bit along that's within the mirror unit. The web site is useful though thanks and has shown me that I will probably have to buy a whole mirror unless someone has an old one they want to get rid of.

You're not kidding, it looks like you can't buy the guts of the mirror and these new are coming out at £150 plus. But when I don't need the motors etc I'm really reluctant to spend this sort of money.

You will need to buy the whole mirror. Same happened to me and I couldnt buy the parts anywhere. Probably worth a quick call to tyrcarparts (and the other major suppliers). Last time I spoke with them they had a box of odds and sods in the office including bits of wing mirror. You might strike it lucky and find they have just the part you need in exchange for a small quantity of beer tokens.

Try brodie engineering (citroen fanciers). They stock them I think - though they werent answering the phone when I was replacing mine - and I bet they are cheaper than TVR stockists.

Does your griff have the mirror-mounted door switch to open the doors ? (do any griffs? - i'm not sure)

If so, be aware most of the new mirrors you would can buy (all the ones I saw) require you to drill the hole in them yourself to take the door switch. If doing it make sure you get the hole lined up in the right place so switch doesnt foul the internal) and rewire with your old connectors (my 99 chim had different connections to the standard).

If not I'll scuttle off back to the Chim forum....
