Not pushing the limits of the engine somewhat with running that?

Its going to be a fast and furious style finish at Thunder road isnt it, Monaro almost over the line and a Astra VXR comes screaming past at warp factor nine and blue flames coming out of the exhaust!

When it says throttle trigger switch does that mean it kicks in on full throttle?

Its a wet system so its primary function is charge cooling so its mega safe.

You are thinking of dry systems where a controller and silly power hikes are the order of the day.

Only a 25HP increase on power, but sooo much more pulling power low down.

Yes she does know, she`s the one that wanted it fitted (She`s desperate to stay ahead of the Astra boys on VXR online hehe

Yeah, armed electrically and then activated via a throttleswitch on WOT. Nos runs untill you either run out or come off Wot.

Bottle lasts 15 mins, thats 71 Quarter mile passes or 27 standing mile runs.

Ah Regal! Back in 1998 they Superchipped my brand new Fiat Coupe Turbo. It worked great for 3 months until the overfuelled engine started blowing blue smoke. It cost me 5k for a new one and they didn't want to know.

Do you know where they get their name from? It's Lager spelt backwards. I wouldn't let them tune my lawnmower personally!

They obviously didn`t like you mate, just had a large expensive item replaced by them at their expense without so much as a grumble, in fact they could actually have fobbed us off with some bull if they tried hard enough as they know exactly what the car gets used for.

So I`m happy.

Cars done 4 rwyb days, 2 club drag days (19 runs at the last one yikes) 3 vmaxxes and Fighting Torque (14 runs) in the last year or so.
Not to mention all the `Hunting` Sophie does out there
That`s a pretty good advert for Regal in my book mate.

Fair play, it was a long time ago but still painful when I think about it. I could barely afford the car so the engine replacement was very difficult for me.

They've obviously improved. Glad you've had a positive experience.

I can agree that this car is now Rapid in the most Rapidist(eerr?) form...

Spent a bit of time chatting to the guys at regal as well and they seem a v professional bunch, feeling Nos coming on for the VXR8...

My god you mean you've actually had shonky treatment at the hands of a tuner. Anyway you got a superchips chip, what did you expect wink

I was young. At that time you couldn't flash ECUs, you had to replace the chip by cracking the box open or fit a piggy back like Unichip to fool the standard ECU.

It was all a bit of a bodge TBH, you added more boost and fuel and hoped for the best. Terrible when you think about it.

yep they effectively forced the cars to run thinking they had just been started in cold (choke) type fueling
