A while ago I saw a Seiko with a 24-hour face. It had normal hands but the hour hand rotated once per 24 hours rather than twice. The style was a chrono, stainless case and a red face. The chap who had it was, I think, from Dubai.
I was reminded of it recently but have hunted around for a reference to such a watch to no avail. Does anyone have any recollection of this design?

That's apparently a seiko.
They do a GMT like one, called the compass, but that has an extra 24h hand (and can be used to find north by pointing at the sun in some way)

Thanks for that. Any idea when this was made?

That's all i've found, not many details, it seems it may be called either a compass or a maritime.

Yea, there is a big 24h scene i never knew about. I had seen the Russian ones on ebay all the time, but didn't think many others did them, or they were so collectable
