Went to the Wisborough Green Charity Hot Air Balloon Festival today with the ankle biters. (WG is in West Sussex, near Petworth, in case you're wondering.)

We arrived at 5 and it was pretty windy and it looked like they wouldn't get off the ground. But then the wind dropped and out came the balloons and up up up into the sky they flew...

It's on tomorrow (Sunday) also, if anyone's interested.

You were lucky - these events need such specific weather conditions they seem to be cancelled more often than not.

Particularly like

BTW, is that Simpo Two's old D70 you've got there? It still stamps the photos with his blokewithacamera copyright.

Cracking photos, Mr Pluckah.

We have an annual balloon festival here in Northampton. I took this one a few years ago with me old Pentax LX:

Strewth, you've got some terrible dust on your sensor mate! biggrin

Ah, yes, Pentax LX, that wouldn't be having a sensor, would it.

How did you guess? wink I thought I had cleaned it, but it still appears to have a load of his household fluff on it. I think another trip to the dishwasher is required.

The EXIF data says "User Comment = <C> www.blokewithacamera.co.uk". I can recommend adding 'Finish' to the dishwasher to remove any annoying dust spots biggrin

hehe Sorry about that Mr Pluckah, I thought I'd been through all the menus to reset (and cleaned it). But seeing as your photos are now my copyright that'll be £2,583 please biggrin

Cleaning it with a garden broom doesn't seem to have worked Simpo!
