f355 roof problems
Discussion
please can anyone help? I have a f355 spider with roof problems. I unlock the roof until the beep, pull and hold the switch, seats go all the way forward and then thats it. I then push the switch forward drivers seat goes all the way back but passenger seat moves about 10mm and stays forward .Passenger seat then has too be unplugged from the roof switch for the seat too be moved back by the seat switch. Thanks in advance for any help

Put hte seats forward using hte normal seat switches then try the roof, it it still won't go using the roof button then remove the plug on the side of the pump housing between the seats and use the O microswittch to open the roof, you can close it using the C microswitch. If that all works then it will be one of the seat potentiometers, I'd guess the passenger side as that's the one playing up

seats move all the way forward then nothing.Roof doesnt move, push the switch so im putting the roof up and passenger seat moves back a small amount{about 10mm}and drivers seat all the way back too the set position ,still roof does nothing.there are two multi plugs under the passanger seat i unplug the one that is connected to a type of sensor then i can move the seat by the seat switch and every thing is fine bar the roof.
Ive had a similiar problem and and at an (uneducated guess) I suspect its actually something with the roof itself and not the seats. Try this:
1. Uncliip roof and push it back to it beeps.
2. Push all the cross barts on the fabric roof up as high as they go, occassionally they can drop down
3. Then push the centre button to make the roof go down
1. Uncliip roof and push it back to it beeps.

3. Then push the centre button to make the roof go down

I am sure you have done this but have you checked the level of fluid in the roof resevoir ?( in the leather covered box between the seats)
Only time mine (once ) has ever thought about having issues was when the fluid was lowish
Phib
There are two fuses/ relays in there as well which are worth checking Only time mine (once ) has ever thought about having issues was when the fluid was lowish
