Buying books from the States - anyone have recommendation?

Folks,

I'm after a particular book from the US - it's $60 over there, but oddly (and where I can find it!) £80 over here..!!!

So, where to go in the US, does anyone do this regularly, or have a recommendation..?

How about setting up a US Amazon account, would that work..?

You can use your amazon.co.uk account at amazon.com. It will ask you if you want to transfer to the uk site, just say no thanks and carry on. It takes between 5 and 14 days to get your stuff usually.

Done it a few times, no bother!

Try this: www.half.com - I think this is a subset of Ebay for books only. I recommend "Liberty & Tyranny".

Here is a sample of that book:
