Lumix FX500, FX550 or something else?

I'm looking for a small digital compact camera with a decent zoom and shutter priority. I've looked at both the Lumix FX500 and the FX550 which seem to fit the bill. I don't print many photos out so am not sure the extra resolution of the FX550 is worth paying for so am unsure which to go for.

Has anyone any opinions on which one, or anything else I should be looking at?

Mark, expecting an ultra quick reply during the day is never a good idea. You do know we work.

I've had the FX-55 which was pretty good, then upgraded to an FX-550 which again I have nothing to grumble about. I've also got the TZ-7 again nothing you wouldnt expect from a Panny.

i've got the tz7, had the 5 and the 1 before it, like them very much.. also have a canon 30d as a main camera

So did you go for the FX500?

I'm looking at these along with the TZ-7. Can't decide if I want the larger zoom or smaller size at the moment...

I went for a Ricoh CX1 in the end and am very happy with it.

And now there is also the Lumix DMC - TZ10 as well.
