Oakley: Tip top customer service
Discussion
If you are thinking of getting shades I would highly recommend Oakley for their service levels.
A pair of shades broke, had them repaired under the 12 month warranty, came back and now out of warranty the same fault occurred again. Sent them back in, they have now found it to be a design flaw and as a result a brand new alternative pair of shades to be sent to me!
I know it should be the least you would expect, but its rare to find this kind of service these days.
So if you're after shades/shoes etc try Oakley the do seem to value their customers

I'll echo what you said - From the very few times I have dealt with them, the customer service has been excellent! As a result, I always choose Oakleys when it comes to sunglasses (as well as the fact they have saved my eyes a few times)

I have also received excellent customer service from Oakley. A few years back I took a big fall skiing and one the arms of my Oakleys headed off down the mountain never to be seen again. I'd had them for a few years. I enquired about a replacement part and they sent it to me free of charge with an apology for their product not standing up to the demands of my chosen activity! Very impressed; but I guess you pay for it.

You do that, apparently. Found mine in a drawer upstairs after stepson number one moved out
Swear by Oakleys as well!
Wish I read this thread a few years ago when my mum trod on my brown Why 8.0! Lenses were fine but one of the arms fell off, I tried super glue causing me to ruin the lense! Went in the bin in the end!
Was impossible to find the same style and colour so ended up with black Why 8.1! Great product!

I've just realised I'm a t
t.
I had a pair of Ray-Ban's (not the originals - but a different/modern design) - was standing in the gents having a gypsy's kiss whilst on holiday in France last year. I looked down, as you do, and a lens fell out, hit the porcelain and chipped a massive piece of glass off.
Glasses ruined, so I stuck them in the bin.
It didn't occur to me that I could actually send them back and enquire why their shoddy build quality had caused immense heartache and upset and nearly made me pee on my shoes...
I shall now invest in some Oakleys.
That is all.

Ray Ban and Oakley are companies under the same holding company, Luxottica IIRC.

Im guessing x-metal juliets with fire iridium lenses? Look to light to be carbon, to dark to be plasma

I love my oakleys, have them for my general prescription lenses driving/office use and another couple of sets for prescription sun glasses.
Ive only had to call on their customer service once and it was spot on.

Don't doubt their service for a second, but given their manufacturing costs are about 250 Vietnamese Dong per item, with a not inconsiderable eleventy-million % mark-up you would expect it really, wouldn't you? I still have a pair of very 90's Frogskins with a fetching Purple Iridium / Clear frame scheme. Mind you, back when I got them, everything in mountain biking was brightly coloured and they fitted in quite nicely. Like these...

I've also got a couple of decent fleeces from them and a couple of shirts which have stood the test of time.
Good stuff.
