Just been looking at Ski holidays for next February.

Half Term week - £3672 for 2 adults and 1 baby!
Week later - £1990 for the same holiday.

Nearly double just because it is half-term and the Government wonders why people take their kids out of school in term time.

Out of sheer principal - they can shove their holiday up their ar5e!

Er, supply and demand? I realise it's a pain in the arse but you can't really blame them can you.

A slight increase like others I understand - nearly double is just rude !

After several successive years of Mark Warner ski holidays at half term we have finally decided enough was enough and made other plans. Even at 1850 the food was average and the accommodation shabby. To balance that, we couldn't fault the childcare arrangements but it's not enough of an incentive.

After doing a ski season, i will never ski at half term again. Everything is worse, food, queues, people, noise... kids everywhere!! arrghh

If at all possible, go outside of school holidays!

I am hoping to go out of Half Term, but our friends have 2 kids of school age - so we may be forced to go at HT!

It will not be with Mark Warner that's for sure!

The reason we never go away on our hols in school holidays. That way we don't have to share the pool with other peoples noisy and badly controlled offspring.

Whata rip off! Just book something yourself - flights, transfers, accommodation. Easy!

Just what we do - the school have had a strop but seeing as both are still in Primary I don't see it as an issue.

That is what we normally, but I was trying to find a tour operator with good childcare for our 18 month old!

Are the companies your comparing MW providing similar levels of childcare? The way to look at it is MW are much cheaper in school term time because their core market is families.

That's always been the case, half term is usually double for skiing holidays.
Not with other tour operators it's not!
