I need to get hold of some sew on badges of the revival era to attach to my costume..I'm planning on going as a mechanic and have got the boiler suit, flat cap, leather boots etc sorted...but struggling to get hold of some badges (thinking classic jaguar/castrol/gulf/etc).. searched high and lo on ebay (only seller seems to be in hong kong) and googled for hours...any ideas? obviously need to get hold of them this week so I can get them sewn on in time!!

Answers ASAP please

Thanks

Jim

I'd have thought that mechanics would hardly, if ever, have worn badges pre 1966. Usual attire was a boiler suit that started life white....

If you still want the badges, local vintage shops/antiques shops would probably be your best bet? Quick google/yell search should point you in the right direction for your area?

True and I just read on the GRRC forum that you still need a shirt & tie under yoru overalls if oyu want to get in the main paddock. Not sure about that myself but rules is rules wink
