Classic Endurance Racing at Silverstone - a few rare ones

Hi there,

Part of the programme for the Le Mans series event at Silverstone this weekend was a 1 hour long race for the CER (Classic Endurance Racing) Championship. If you could only get to one motor race in your life it would have to be this one.

The selection of cars in this championship is amazing.

Here are a few pics: -

Did you manage to get any of the Rob Hall Matra? Or the Ferrari 712? I couldn't attend on Saturday - heart-breaking as the 1965 - 1980 period of sportscar racing is one its finest. Hopefully see a few of these cars at Classic Le Mans next year.

That race is why i bought the full weekend ticket,as they didn't run it on sunday,it was a nice surprise to see the american legend, Bobby Rahal driving in that race too.

The howmet sounded superb with its gas turbine engine.
