Eyebrows!

I was having my haircut on Monday in a traditional barbers, run by 2 Turkish fellows. They always do a really good job and are tipped as such.

The guy asked me if I wanted my eyebrows done and I agreed. After quick trim with the mini razor, he got out a piece of string and proceeded to pluck all the stray hairs out with said string.

It does hurt quite a bit and leaves you with a bright red forehead for half an hour after.

I have never seen or heard of it before but its well worth trying.

I have this done aswell but I do get some stick for it.

But my eyebrows are like slugs and when left to there own devices they merge into what looks like one giant slug.

Totally agree. I trim mine - can't stand the "demon headmaster" look that happens when they get long.

Mine stay rather neat and tidy on their own but I do get them plucked tidy on the odd occasion

IIRC the technique is called "threading" and I know that its a technique used by my asian female friends and is becoming more popular across all types of salons.

I would assume that it is a technique used by the Turkish also.

There was a lass who used to do this in the office, but I could never work out why it was better than using tweezers?

the only 2 valid reasons are so as not to have a monobrow and not to look like an eagle owl.

why else would you? mine stay perfectly fine without having anything done to them. you hairy freaks!

I just set the beard clippers to number 3 and trim mine down as they go a bit mental if left unattended
