offer is being done through seloc, so if your interested call sincs and tell them its the seloc group buy.

there's been loads of threads on whats best...

personally i dont see the point in paying the same money for the official one and having less power (stock 218 vs katana 255 approx)

there is also a new rotrex version coming out, but no word on price yet. output is supposed to be about 270hp, but its new to the market.

sincs have done loads of katana kits and there are hundreds of them in the states, so we know its a proven product.. that coupled with the offer made the decision easy for me...

even looking at sinclaires website, their power graph seems to state 225-235 at best.
For 255 you would probaly need to spend another couple of grand over the 4k price.

i dont know anyone who's quoted less than approx 250 hp, but yes, it depends on your induction, exhaust, etc... have a look at the dyno plot they show too...

If you ever speak with Wayne at Sinclaires he is *always* conservative on power gains and numbers. Before Sinclaires got their dyno I personally paid to have my car independantly dyno'd at TDi before and straight after the conversion with the same operator. The result was 254bhp & 163lb/ft with a stock map along with induction, sports cat & sports exhaust. Since then its had a custom map which released a few more ponnies and improved the mid-range torque not to mention made it super smooth.

I've also seen other UK Katana dynos which range from 235 to 255 and loads of US dyno's which are similar. Again, if you speak with Wayne they've seen a variation in power stock from stock engines - not all engines make the 189bhp number Lotus quote.

The Katana is a solid platform for further tuning also. You can add any mod you want and Sinclaires will remap your ECU.

I'm interested in the full chargecooled option

could that included in the group buy?

I would have thought so.

Katana + CC is more labour so I'm sure you'd get a deal.
