Painting already painted calipers
Discussion
I painted my calipers black 18 months ago using Foliatec Black paint from Halfords. I am having my alloys refurbed soon due to chips and kerb hits and am thinking of having them done black and therefore would like to repaint my calipers red.
What preperation is best? 2 coats of Grey primer then the new paint (thinking of Foliatec Red) or just prime with the primer that comes with the Foliatec pack and then on with the paint?

I use the 3m scotch pads my self (same as what they use in a paintshop) if you have a motorfactors that sell paint and body work consumables they should sell them if not maybe carters consumables
Heres a link to the type of product i would recommend http://www.cartersconsumables.co.uk/abrasives-scot...

Powder coating would look better, and last alot lot longer, but it wont be a cheaper option. your going to pay 100-200 for a good job and then you got to strip them all down, oh the joys of getting them back together.
For some calipers? I had 4 split rims done for 120, including dismantling and rebuilding, fitting tyres etchttp://www.biggred.co.uk/caliperpricing.html
