Some of my images - C&C please.
Discussion
Hi all,
Had my DSLR for a month now, and here are some of my images so far. Any suggestions?
If anyone feels they may benefit from some PS work, then feel free to throw them into the mix!

My photo's are available in larger sizes here:

Main crit is that you seem to have one of those dreadful smelly things hanging from your rear view!
Seriously, Your skies are over exposed (whiting out - blown highlights). It's difficult to fix, but using a gradated grey filter will help a lot. HDR would also sort - but it's a faff.
Other than that - keep up the good work... I like the bottom image.

If you're not already doing so, then consider starting shooting in RAW rather than jpeg.
The downside is that you will need to do some post-processing, but this will be massively compensated for by the fact that you can change things like exposure and white balance after the event. If you've got something like that first shot where the camera can't cope with correctly exposing both the sky and the foreground at the same time, then you can process the same image twice with different levels of exposure, lay them on top of each other and then just erase the over-exposed parts on one, leaving you with a properly exposed composite.
At a simpler level, I think the first one, and also the one with the car peeking out from the bridge could benefit from being shot with a wider aperture to narrow the depth of field and blur the background to an extent. That way the car stands out better as the subject of the shot.

Many thanks for the advice and comments so far. I will try shooting in RAW, but at the moment I have no ability to use any photo editing software, because I don't own any!
This one is very good and completely free
