So riding in this morning, it just started.. It comes from the rear of the bike...

I think I have pinned it down to the rear disc, but it only rubs when weight is put on it.. Now what could this be? If it was the pad, then should it be making noise?

Any help of advice greatly apreciated as its very annoying and no doubt taking away from my efforts when peddaling!

Try realigning the pads on the disc?

Depending on the fixings you can normally loosen them a bit, jam on the brakes and then tighten it back up with the brakes still applied.

If it's only happening when weight is applied is might be play in the rear hub causing alignment to go slightly off.

Before realigning the pads to the disc, check that that is even the problem in the first place.

I'd be releasing the quick release (does it feel like it was tight?) correctly installing the wheel in the dropouts, and then doing up the QR nice and tight. Does the problem persist?

Worth actually removing the wheel completely to check the spindle and bearings are all ok.

They're deore hydraulic disks.

I will try taking wheel out etc at lunch. If it makes any difference it WAS NOT doing this before I took it for a service, where they did have a fiddle with the brakes..

Nope, sand of disks, and clean of pads.

Now I have been riding a few days, and I heard the noise EVER so slightly on monday, but its continual now.
