One of the best ways to pass the day at work is to pick on someone.
Where I am it's Chris from Accounts.
He's 20 and thinks he's a major stud and smarter than everyone else. So we wind him up, give him plenty of nicknames (the latest one being Macauly Culkin cos you just know that when he was younger he'd have let Jacko touch him), we do photoshops of his head on other people's bodies. Steal his mouse ball (yes he still has a ball mouse!) break his chair, hide his mug, sell his car on We Buy Any Car dot come etc.
He tries to give some back, but bless him, he's too young n too crap to be a real opposition. It's never to cause him proper pain or sadness and we do all get on with him, but he just is someone you gotta pick on.
Who do you pick on? What do ya do? Why do they deserve it?

Theres only one guy in our office who would fit the criteria, 34, single, lived with parents until last month, never had a GF, loves all things sci-fi, is uber nerdy and has almost zero social skills.
There is one thing that stops us from mocking him too severely, and thats his overt passive agressive vibe. We've come to a joint decision that if he were mocked routinely, one day he would walk into the office with a gun and go Columbine on us.

I had one of my staff picked on by others in the company back in the mists of time .. think some red ISP in Wycombe. He was young, short, slightly overweight, bad skin and Welsh. He took so much crap from some of his colleagues; constant piss taking in the office, people would call his mobile and put the phone down when he answered then take the piss further, it was all day, every day.
I thought it was disgusting really, nobody whould have to put up with that. I brought it up withmy manager, who dismissed it and said he was thick skinned. In actual fact he didn't complain because the manager also joined in now and again

If I found a group of employees acting with organised malice aforethought towards a junior member in the way you describe, I would first warn them and then review their prospects quite carefully as they are evidently unsuitable for management or any sort of responsibility.Where I am it's Chris from Accounts.
