BMW X3 Towing \ Twin Electrics

Hi All,

I have just purchaced a X3 (55 plate if it makes a difference) with a factory fitted removable tow bar. I have just been looking at it and it would appear that it has only one plug beside it which has 13 (i think) pins. My caravan has two plugs on it (7 pin, one black and 1 grey). As I understand it the black one is for the lights , indicators etc and the grey one is for the fridge and battery charging.

I assumed you could just buy a 13 to 2 x 7 pin cable \ splitter but I cant seem to find one, does any one know if I am on the correct track and if so where to buy the splitter.

Hi Thanks for that, but it doe the opposite of what I need, ie that goes from 2 7 pins to a 13 pin.


However I found one in the most obvious of places - Halfords. I went to buy some polish and there it was. A bit of a case of not being able to see the wood for the trees.
