I can never get my head round some Americans. I don't believe for a minute all Americans think this way but how come it is always middle of the road whites than seem thick as s
t.
I am pretty sure the Yanks could film some apparently middle of the road whites over here with similar characteristics. But they would be protesting climate change or something instead.

They are just fed up with Barry's (not so) creeping socialism
Are you sure about that? Most of them couldnt even illustrate their feelings beyond the slogans they were carrying.Seemed like alot of emotionally based objections rather than anything logical and concrete.
Though I agree its probably wrong to paint them all as the religious right.

I can understand if they have concerns about the potential cost, efficiency and wastage of a new healthcare system.
I cannot understand the fixation with the word 'Czar' or how Barack Obama's name could be interpreted as the antichrist nor what his religion has to do with the proposed healthcare system.
Crazy f
kers!
P.S I loved the placard 'I (nearly) miss Bill Clinton'.

It is a shame that our political system over here isnt a bit closer to the current US system in terms of ceding power upwards rather than the other way around, I am sure we would be much better for it.

Yup, I have seen a fair bit of rational and well thought out argument against obamacare, and I have to say that I agreed with the vast majority of it. .Marf said:

Thanks, I'll do some reading.

Painting them all as the "US religious right" in the title is vastly misleading.
They are just fed up with Barry's (not so) creeping socialism

Clearly there was a tiny minority of infiltrators within the ranks of the US religious right. Not representative at all They are just fed up with Barry's (not so) creeping socialism

I've got to say that anything posted by a group calling themselves New Left Media is probably guilty of selective editing and the interviewer is a pompous ass buttt.....
There are a couple of things on that video that would make me very worried if I was an American.
Firstly if you look at that video they all seem to be white and secondly they all seem to be massive fans of that insidious little prick Glenn Beck. Its not going to be much of a jump to a fascist redneck idiot with a smoking gun outside an Acorn office saying "Glenn told me to do it,"
I'm no fan of what Obama has done so far in America and I think that spending huge sums on setting up a health care system is not the best thing to do in the middle of a recession but some of the stuff FoxNews is drumming up is very dangerous.
