Just watched a program on Santa Pod on Motors and what a load of cr>p

Called its self an extravaganza but all it did was made the sport I watched for 20 years look like ajoke. I watched all though to the end to make sure I wasnt mouthing off bout some kids school project but I don't think it was

The fella with the mike knew nothing about drag racing and the commentary was so far out he could have been talking about knitting

The worst drag racing no the worst motorsport program I have everseen Thunderball was great, this program was an insult to all us who watch, and you guys who race

never knew the following -

wildbunch run on gasoline and nitro

the cars were struggling to go fast because they were running in the rain

and John Webster is a consistent top fuel driver because be always hits his dial in. top fuel et class?

aaaagggggggghhhh

I haven't seen this programme but, if it's the same one I have already heard about, I understand the broadcaster elected to ditch the production company's original, John Price commentary and insert its own, for reasons known only to itself.

Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Total joke. Horrific. These programs do more damage than good to drag racing. For Joe Public they must have watched it and thought the same, st.

Please whoever made this, do it properly if you do any more. It was painful, can't think of one complete notable run in the whole hour???

Just not a good thing for drag racing at all. Such a shame as you would think that any television exposure is great for the sport but this is definetly not.

I spotted a camera crew around the pits on Saturday. Couldn't tell you who the interviewer was though

Was looking forward to this....what a pile of poo. Got to be the worst possible presenter..This is the same guy that done the Marangoni show on Motors TV and ran a scobby and patted himself on the back after a mid 15@80 odd mph.
Camera kept cutting to the crowd during ant half decent run (same shot) Deffo the worst drag coverage ever.
Total pants..apart from a few interviews with racers.
Why oh why have presenters with NO clue what so ever. Thank god I had NHRA taped from Five US to watch after.

Just watching this now.

I actually feel a bit 'emperors new clothes' here. Agreed, there are a few innacuracies in the reportage, and the commentry is a bit 'Justin Lee Collins', but it is a long way from being the worst racing show I have ever seen. It is clearly aimed at the non-absolute fanatic viewer, and serves that purpose well.

Having watched the programme last night. I can say this was not a quartermilehigh production. I saw the film crew in the picture and they were not from the Uk.

Just watched it, you're absolutely right, absolute crock of the proverbial..

Having seen the credits, definitely not a quartermile high production..

I think the presenter was Paul Cowland, just a shame he knew absolutely nothing about drag racing at all..

It's great that the sport we love gets some coverage, but such a massive shame that the people behind the programs don't do their research properly.. The BBC Breakfast feature wasn't exactly well researched either...

Dragracing never does itself justice on TV anyway (though I think we all know that).
There just isn't a telly with speakers big enough, or smellyvision....whatever it's called. biggrin

You've just got to take people there and blow their senses apart.hehe
