Esprit S3 Boot Struts

Hi All,

I've just acquired a '83 Esprit S3 (At last a Lotus Owner!). Trying to sort out some of the small problems before they come really frustrating, one of which is that the struts (gas?) on the boot don't keep the boot up, and to my shock they are not £20 as I was expecting to pay (not used to Lotus prices!), so...

I'm assuming the struts actually match another car with a hatch back, perhaps a Rover, any ideas?

I think Jim has a source for a strut locking device that is real cheap. $10 or something like that.

I would have gotten one from him except that SE have a locking left strut.
