Some friends and I are taking part in a rolling road day and one who has an M3 is concerned about not being able to run the car on a dyno due to the ECU seeing the front wheels not matching the rear wheel speed and limiting the car to 6k rpm.

We are going to Surrey Rolling Road so my question is has anyone had their M3 dyno'd there?

Just simply switch off the traction control.

Hold the DSC button long enough till the yellow brake warning lamp lights up aswell.

Then all systems are disabled, except for ABS,

Then have fun. wink

Seeing that the owner of SRR used to have the same car and dyno'd it many times I doubt you'll have any problems...

Switch the ignition on, hold the DSC button for ten seconds, try to be exact too, and then go, if you switch off, it'll reset.

You'll know if it isn't active, as it'll only rev to about 6k

They are no problem, you get the odd one that even with the DSC off refused to play ball but usually turning off and on sorts it. Either way I'll make it have it.

I'm interested to know when your coming up though, got no BMW days for a while so assume your coming as part of another group?

Mine was one of those that never played ball when i had it rolling roaded, much to my disappointment as i was on par to wipe the smug grins from two modified Impreza owners faces

Still made excellent power when it hit the dyno limit

No suprise frown

Poor GT40 was having brake issues as in they couldn't get up to temp due to being in the air flow.
