My new Elise S is just avbout to go back for its first service but after 6 weeks of ownership the key fob has used 2 batteries! This has resulted in me calling the AA whilst locked out of the car in the W Highlands of Scotland, miles from anywhere. We then trailed around to find a replacment battery before getting going again.

Anyone else had this problem?

Had my elise s since April and mine stillworks fine with no reduction in range. Not sure how much the batteries cost but if a lot then ask the dealer for goodwill if not get changed and keep an eye on it (possibly carrying spare key with you).

This is all assuming the AA did not cost anything. Hope this helps at least a bit and that you are still enjoying the car.
