If you didn't already know you need to go to this web site
http://www.motinfo.gov.uk/internet/jsp/ECHID-Inter...
and tap in either the log book referance number or the MOT test station number. This will give you the last 4 MOTs details plus any advisories and were applicable any resons for failing.(phone them first and ask for the relevant numbers)
With these details you will know what to pay attention too. IMO it should have had new springs by now. Look under the front to see of the power steering unit(usually the pipe,£130 new. £15 secondhand)is weeping.
On the test drive put all the electrics on, everything that is electric put it on and watch the revs and the dash lights.
Discs are good for 50k miles, when did it last have some?
Good luck.
