Monaro Windscreen

Hi just phoned Autoglass and they are coming out on Thesday to have a look at ma screen. Has anyone had there screen done? and does it take long? They say they will order a screen in and have it Sunday. Is it that easy to get a windscreen?

Had mine done last yr on insurance and it was a next day fit! Its bonded in so they will break it out and re-bond in place. Make sure they A. sit the bottom of the screen on the stops so its the right hight and B. fit the rubber bead around it ASAP after placing the screen in place as the inside lip of the rubber surround need to oozzz some the sealant out of the way when its fitted so if its gone off at all the rubber wont sit flush.

Also, make sure they get the right screen. I had one replaced and the sun strip was a completely different colour, bright bottle green, looked horrible. They were adamant that it was correct until I made them re-order through Vauxhall. Low and behold, the replacement turned up (after booking a new appointmnet and more time off work) with the correct darker blue/green strip. Lot of faffing around but got there in the end.

Well they cam e out and it turned out the windscreen could be fixed so still on ma original screen
