My diff has had a constant oil leak for a while now (main input shaft) and now the input shaft bearing is starting to whine a bit so am aiming to sort it over the winter...options are...

Can either drop it off at a specialists/indie (alot less hassle but more cost) or remove the diff myself and send it off for an overhaul (less cost but more hassle).

I've been quoted approx. £350 for removal + what ever the overhaul costs...? Any idea what the overhaul costs are likely to be?

Plus, can anyone recommend someone to do the overhaul if I removed it myself? Ideally, someone in the north east of england...

If anyone has done this, any tips, advice, stories, etc, would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Readman racing is youi best be. John Reid does all the diffs for the race cars including mine. Not sure about costs.

Readman racing did mine a few months ago, cost about £450 for a full refurb, I had to have a new input flange also, so you may get it done a good bit cheaper than that. It comes back like new, re painted the lot
