What's the deal with brought!?!?!?!

I've had enough of this, why the hell have so many people suddenly started to use the word brought to describe the action of BUYING something, there isn't an R in it, for christs sake sort it out!

A quick leson for everyone:
Brought - use this when you decided to BRING something to somewhere, see, it has an R in it so it is brought.

Bought - this is the one you're after, this means you whent somewhere handed over some money (or possibly a bank card) and paid for it.

I know that sometimes you get away with it (e.g. 'I knew I was coming round so I brought these beers') but don't think it goes unnoticed, stop being such retards!!!

They should have this as a quiz question, I reckon that at least 50% would get it wrong, who started it? They need to be hung!
