Well popped in for a couple of mins to take pics. Never been to the revival and it was funny seeing all the people dressed up in 50's gear and lots of toff's walking around.

Here is a link to the pics I took, not the best because indoors and a digital camera. Took a couple of the Great Elise GT1 also.

I must say, the car looks great but I didn't think it looked any better in the flesh as apposed to in the pics. IMHO.

I would take the Elise. smile

i dont think the colour does it justice. it looks very cheap in that blue in my eyes anyway.

The photo's don't do it justice. In the flesh it actually suits it well, there is a cracking attention to detail. I was well impressed with it.

If you are in London today in the London Lite they had a page on British Sports cars.

It listed the new Mclaren, Morgan, Bristol, Bentley, Lotus, Caterham, Ascari etc. But not a single mention of a Noble at all.

Although it was not a comprehensive piece or from a car magazine I don't think it bodes well for the Noble M600.

Haven't seen the car yet but have been trying to work out what shade of blue they have used.
Does anybody having seen it think they have got links with Tiffany?

You don't think they have 23 cars in the show or more? I don't think they meant it is the 23rd M600 produced...

Went to Goodwood today and spoke to the 2 Peters. Very interesting listening to the rationale for the approach, price etc. I must say it looks so much better in the flesh as you can judge the proportions and the build quality. So if I could just et a 50% discount......
PS interior looks great but agree the exterior colour leaves a lot to be desired.

yes I completely agree. I had a long chat with Peter Dyson who's a very interesting chap indeed. His knowledge and enthusiasm for cars are self evident. The build quality of the M600 is impressive and it seems very well thought out. It has a great driving position and I have no doubt it will be fantastic to drive. The only thing I didn't like (well apart from the price wink) is the colour - something that rather disappointed Peter Boutwood, as it was his choice (bit of a foot in mouth moment paperbag).

I'm sure Phil will post later as he took some photos, although it might take a while as we both have some catching up to do, having spent the last three days at Revival.

Gleaned from chat at the weekend...

Noble quotes:
  • Steel chassis is UK sourced.
  • Show car is fibreglass but carbon tubs will be from US aerospace manufacturer.
  • Exhuast note is "loud".
Engineer mate quote:
  • "Chassis welding is Ducatti quality" (apparently, Ducatti do the best welding!).
  • Interior is "at least as good as Ferrari" (he has a Ferrari).
  • "Overall build quality is exceptional", "Panel gaps incredible and will be even better in carbon".
Photos of engine bay and interior to follow! biggrin
