A friend has just called to say he's spotted a Typhoon and Spitfire heading towards central London. Any ideas what this is for?

Thanks for that, I guess there's a memorial service as it was Battle of Britain Day last week.

Either the Spitfire from here or from Goodwood just flew over my house in Yateley, Hants

Glorious sound, knew exactly what it was way before I saw it

we had one last thursday flying over the courntryside just outside Andover .. early evening.
Gave us a superb 10 - 15 minutes of swoops and victory rolls.

I was in the dining room with a mate and we all stopped talking and all together said .."thats sounds like a spitfire" ...
