Jeff,
I have a rolling chassis in the garage. Let me measure the halfshafts tonight after work and I'll get back to you.

In the TVR Spare Parts Manual there's only one part number (025R012B) with a quantity of 2. So I'd say they are the same. I'll measure them tomorrow in the daylight for you if you want.

One part number....two needed.
That's good enough for me smile
I was 99% sure they were the same.

So Marshall, Roy, thanks for the measuring offer. (not needed now)

Cheers
Jeff

Jeff,

The drive shafts on my car are the same length on both sides.

As they are on the car I measured UJ to UJ so I don't know the overall length if that's going to be you next question!

Hope this helps

Roy.

Thanks Roy,
I did the UJs early Spring, the caps were turning so put them into the mach shop to get the yokes done(Yes I know there are a few trickssmilebut I like to do 'em right)

Put it back together one side had enough camber for NASCA, way past shimmable distance. I went back to the machine shop and asked "you guys didn't just chop off the old yokes did you?". They assured me they measure everything"
I checked the bushings ,springs everything, I suspected I may have xxxxxx the trailing arm pin. Then it got too hot for working on cars.
Now the weather has cooled I had another look, pulled it all to bits again, measured the drives shafts...... 3/8" difference. Hence the post.
Had the drive shaft re-done, I've just finished torquing it up. All's well.
Camber and rear toe in all good.
Except I lost a Summer.

Yes, 3/8ths is a lotsmile.
Hope this may help somebody else.

It wasn't clear from the wording of the original post but if the question was.. Are the driveshafts the same length on either side? Then that is a definite yes. Sorry I misunderstood. I thought you meant, are the "280 trailing arm" driveshafts a different length to the other Wedges.

As far as I know all Wedge driveshafts are the same length and have the same end fixings. In fact the only definite differences are to the size of the UJs and possibly the intermediate tube diameter.

Hope that helps
