Unreliable my arse

This weekend the Team Peach Melba northern contingent (ie. me) went down to the Goodwood Revival in the Griffith

190 miles on Friday night, one stop just for fuel.

Half an hour in light traffic on the way in Saturday AM (and the chance to practice my power slide control on the grass car park but don't tell anyone)
Half an hour of stop/start on the way out before we got out of the car park and clear of the track.

An hour on Sunday morning of stop/start, hill starts, crawling in traffic horribleness.
A quick(ish) getaway last night then the 190 miles home again.

All done with the roof down, and not a single solitary glitch.

TVRs Unreliable?
PAH !!! More fool you if you believe it and miss out on all the fun.

I have to agree, perhaps it's a Team Peach Melba trait . .

The Eastern contingent of TPM got back from the Euro tour last week, 3740.2 miles of glorious motoring. Too much to list on this thread, but I will on another some time.

The Griffith was as dependale as the Trangia stove we used to cook on when camping (you don't get much more simple)

Unreliable? Some of the time, yes. Much of the time it's been fine. They do reward being looked after...

Yup 3045 miles round Europe last month in 35 degree heat no issues with the car just the occupants in the heat

35k miles in the past 3 1/2 years in the Chim (most with the roof off ), only let down once.
Significantly less than with the Beamers and range Rover i've had

Mine blew a fuse at the weekend.... so unreliable!

Found the problem, 35p later and its fixed.

I wish I could say the same!! But on the flip side it's about 25 years old, and the vast majority of cars built then are now scrapped.

cerb - 3.5k in the last 3 months including torrential rain, snow and ice - no probs....... that reputation though frightens the life out of most wannabe tvr owners.....shame

good thread Ian, never had a problem in 2 years with the S2 ford v6, and never had a problem with the 500 griff in nearly 4 years, hope to say the same about the ajp lump in the next few years as well

newbies looking on these forums may think its all doom and gloom, but the point is these forums are here to help people run and maintain these cars, we don`t say how good they are often enough.
