and it looked superb. Is it just me that is really starting to warm to these despite the initial disregard when it was released? Having seen Randy's race car and a couple of non-grey ones on the road I am really starting to quite like them.

I think now that the initial bad seeds planted by the press have faded in peoples minds they are looking at the car far more positivly. Amazing how much a review plus the odd negative opinion based on those reviews rather than seeing or driving the car influence how we see a product, even subconciously. Lotus did a poor launch, the initial mapping was poor, initial interior spec a bit sparse, the car don't photograph so well and is quite colour sensitive. Poor thing didnt have the best start in life!

Now they have had a good while in the hands of the few of us who actually own them and real owners are making positive comments peoples perception of the car has changed. Turns out they are great to drive, suprisingly well built, have a rarity cool factor and when you actually see one on the streets they look very nice indeed. The mapping is better, interior has the luxury option and used they are a bargain. I'm loving mine at 225bhp if I go down the tuning route I thinks it going to be a very special car for a suprisingly reasonable amount of money. I've nothing but praise for mine and anyone who can stand next to it and tell me its not a good looking car is clearly blind. I have never owned a car before that strangers stop you in the street to talk about on a daily basis, every one of those comments has been positive.

I agree that in the flesh they get a lot of positive comments. Mine is also black and going up the M40 at the weekend lots of people were driving by slowly just so they could get a good look at the car.

That happens to me as well...

I think people are really beginning to warm to the Europa, its beginning to find its place. Coupled with that its so rare and there are so few of them around that I think the values are going to hold from now in.

Can't realy see me getting rid of mine for a while, I did consider the Evora, but its not a good enough car to warrant the extra cash and there is nothing else short of a fezza etc that I would really want.

It looked superb, although its probably the first time that i have been alongside one whilst in the Porsche and it was evident how small it is. Oh, in case it was anyone on PH, this was southbound on the M1 near Derby.
