I've been looking for a 3 series touring for the missus -

Have seen a cheap car on ebay, but has had a plate change & is cat D for apparently light panel damage.

I have no issue with Cat D cars as long as they are priced correctly & have evidence of the work done - but the lack of history is worrying.

The vendor suggests that the service computer is showing no service due til next year but i was looking to collate anything that had been done on the car.

The number plate is currently T999PSD but was/is going back to YG55VEV

Is anyone in the trade able to validate any repair work done or oil changes in the last few years?

thanks in advance for any help!!

if it has been done at BMW, then just go to www.bmw.co.uk and use the contact number for spec and sevrice check. They will be able to confirm date, which dealer and what the visit was for in general terms but they will supply wuith the dealer numbers so you can call them and check in detail yourself. Good luck!

According to the BMW system it has only been into a dealer twice for work at 1206 miles and 2258 miles. Both appear to be used car warranty visits but it has been known for the wrong reason to be selected. the dates were May 2006 and April 2007.
If you want the dealer details I can supply via email.
