I'd like to know what the aliens were thinking when they decided to let those two kids repopulate the new planet. Clearly inbreeding isn't a concern on their homeworld?

Ask a Christian about Adam & Eve, or more specifically, their kids... Let us know how you get on!

Yet another unanswerable question for the weak-minded fans of the ultimate fairy story.

Aren't there other ships dropping off those who could "hear" the aliens in that last scene??

Possibly, it's not really explained. The 'others' that can hear the signal refers to the other living animals, they seemed to be herding them into the ships 2 by 2 like Noahs Ark. It was stupid, why Cage's character wasn't allowed to go I do not know. So what if he didn't get the signal, he was right there, just let him on the damn ship.

It was definately meh... trying so very hard to be "Signs" (and that wasnt even that good!)

Overall it felt like they had some very good ideas but never really got round to writing a good screenplay for them.

I rented this the other week.

First two thirds was fantastic and a lot grizzly than I thought it would be but the last act was a serious what the fk moment. Total rubbish.

But B- only because I love movies where the world actually gets destroyed.

There is now SO much Sh@t out there I had to stop going to the over expensive cinema years ago. Then again I don't have any friends and going on your own to a Rom com is a little weird!!!

I assumed that a fleet of spaceships had each picked up 'couples' of youngsters (they'll be put on the Sex Offenders Register if the old Bill catch up with them) and that the 'new world' would be repopulated with 'innocent', possibly 'idealistic' young people under the guidance of Kraftwerk (or whoever the aliens were).
