Light aircraft crash at the weekend ( http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/hampshire/82660... ) - sole description is 'single engine twin tail ' - only thing I can think of that matches that description is an Optica ?

Twin tailed, not twin boom. It was a Nord NC-854.
