Hi,

I recently bought a lateish approved used 325I M Sport E90, which I absolutely love BTW.

The only niggle is the drivers seat it makes a clicking noise when I pull of and accelerate, not all the time but often enough to really get on my nerves.

I was wondering if something that may seem so insignificant to others but is driving me mad would be fixed under warranty?

The car is still under manufacturers warranty BTW

Thanks

Yes, it would be.

If you can demonstrate the fault then yes. The problem comes when the dealer can't find the fault.
They can become quite relunctant to investigate further as finding faults does not pay as well as fixing faults.

I had this problem on my 1 series - it was a broken seat base. I would definately be asking BMW to sort.

If recent, get in touch with sales and they should sort it.

That is indeed a warranty claim - something is not as it should be on a recently sold car.

Just bear in mind the old 'no farting in the driver's seat 24 hours before it goes to the dealer' rule. It's just common courtesy.

Actually, that might be what's caused it scratchchin

I thought that's why they put the plastic protector on the seats first? wink

It was a seat frame with mine, at first they just tightened it but the noise came back after a couple of days, in the end they replaced the seat frame and rails, sorted now hopefully.
