So prior to Carlo's interesting supercharged V8 did TVR build a 2 litre Ford engined S ?

Nope 2.8, 2.9 and the V8 (sleeved down to 2ltr with supercharger in Italy)

I think the last 2 lite Ford-engined TVR was the Tasmin 200 (Cortina "Pinto" engine) in the early 1980's.

I've definitely read in several places of a cosworth powered race car (sierra rs500 touring car engine), thinking about it there's a photo of it in the bible. That was just the one car though.

^^^ I think that was an S in name and general body styling cues only, reading about the car there's little of an S underneath .. but what a beast. there's video it it at Macau with the yellow wedge racer on you tube if i recall correctly.

once saw an E reg S1 with 1600 CVH fitted the owner was under ipression that it was a factory test bed for various engines as the car was previously a 2ltr and before that 2.8 so did they sell engine test bed with 1.6 cvh in it xr3 engine or the likes ? maybe to do with tax in other countries ? maybe someone could shed light on this ?
