As some of you may know, the new VW Scirocco got announced for arrival in LFS.

Well the Dev's have just dropped a whole new surprise! ROCKINGHAM!

No date is set yet, but it is atleast confirmed. There will also be another new car to go along with it, aswell as the Scirocco. Apparently, we shall all need an S3 licence to access this track, which should be around £12. There's also a huge physics update coming, which should see the physics being even more impressive!

Here's some pics of the track and Scirocco, along with the link to the full story.

Happy racing!

Why the Scirrocco? They could have at least found a half interesting car FFS. Wonder what the physics updates will be?

I think they cracked a deal with VW, hence the Scirocco. The scirocco was actually announced over a year ago, but got delayed. You never know, we may get some more interesting VW's down the line.

The physics update was done because the dev's weren't happy with the way the car was handling compared to a real one. Apparently, they have been working on a ESP system, and have updated the TC and ABS. There also working on the tyre modelling to provide a more realistic feel, as well as suspension and geometry tweaks.

It should make the game feel completely different!

I think the LFS lads helped build a promotional game for the 'Rocco a while ago, and got the rights to use it as part of the deal.

Good stuff eh, I saw this on VirtualR yesterday. I cannot wait for S3. LFS is the best multiplayer racing imho!

Might have to dust it off, haven't played LFS for ages, looks like they have made steps with the graphics as well.

Slightly off topic but has anyone had a go of the NetKar Pro update with the Arbrath and new track? Looks quite nice, there are a few sims that i might have to dust off.

Glad they're still pushing things forward but jeez, a shooping trolley in a frock and work on the ESP system? Who wants a bloody ESP system on a racing game for a low powered FWD hatch? The first thing I'd do when getting in a Scirrocco either in real life or in a game would be to turn the stupid ESP off.

All of the driving aids can be turned off anyhow. I'm not too fussed about LFS getting the Scirocco, but it's a new car atleast. I've seen some interior shots of it though, and it looks amazing. I think i would only drive it once though, and then get bored of it and go back to the FXO (that 250hp FWD turbocharged BEAST evil). Im more interested in what this other new car is going to be. Im thinking that it might be some BTCC'esque car.
