Just a health warning - do not, under any circumstances rent this film (unless you fancy wasting 101 minutes of your life).
The film didn't make me laugh once. Not once! And this is meant to be a comedy! The story is yawn inducing (the wife lasted 15 minutes before falling asleep), you feel no empathy for any of the characters (because they're all vacuous, foul mouthed idiots) and after the film finishes you'll pull out the disc with a sense of deep, deep disappointment (given the "rave reviews" on the sleeve).

Utter shi*te

One of the worst films I've ever seen.

I thought it was bloody brilliant - but then again I also liked Crank 2.

You are entirely wrong. One of the best films i've seen in a very long time. Cleverly written witty script, and very well acted.

No, its political satire. May i politely suggest this genre may not be your cup of tea?

Each to their own, but I fail to see how 101 mins of swearing constitutes a "cleverly written witty script". Anyone can write insult after insult. It does not make a good film!

Don't listen to him, it's a brilliant movie, one of the best I've seen in ages, original, witty, covered in politcal satire.

You do need to have your brain in gear I guess, it's not a slob out film, but like everyone else that has replied, I loved it

It was by far the funniest film I have seen this year.

That is all.

The Thick of it is brilliant, up there with Fawlty Towers, Yes Minister and The Office.

Can't wait to see the film. Iannucci is a national treasure.

Guys, In The Thick of It was superb, utterly brilliant.

Oddly, In the Loop was lame. It felt rushed and lacking in ideas. The story was silly (6th Form drama class silly) and the leads unconvincing, particularly the short guy who played the minister.

I was disappointed.
