As for: "He’s a guest driver, he’s not involved in the championship, so I don’t know why he had to smash into me, many times", He's in a race to do as well as He can for His team and thats how it's done in the BTCC,as Giovanardi well knows.

Looks like it will appear here http://www.itv.com/Sport/btcc/Racevideoarchive/def... when available. The highlights were on ITV last night whcih I always record.I think the last paragraph sums it up for me;

I think he was lucky he wasn't badly hurt with Neal taking to the grass to gain an advantage and then finding that slicks and grass don't mix when trying to brake for a corner!

I doubt Neal took to the grass deliberately. Was there actually footage showing how he got on to it? I don't remember seeing any.+ 1 for Turkington.........quality races over the weekend.

Absolutely shocking in my opinion - he knew what he was doing.........he should have had a match ban for that in my opinion.

Who knows what could/would have happened.
What we do know is that Plato deliberately attempted to end Turkingtons race - and potentially championship - for me - that sort of driving should be kept for muppets on playstations - not top flight drivers.
I'm was over the moon when Plato put himself out - he deserved it.
My fingers are firmly crossed for Turkey to do the business - I'll be there cheering him on!
edited to say......not that i'm a TEAM RAC fan - but out of the chaps up for the champ he gets my vote!

It has always been the case that those seeking to win a chmpionship have to be very respectful to those who are not.
Probably a typical tabloid edit anyway, I can't really see Gio saying those words exactly in that context - more likely he answered Yes, to the loaded question "do you think Herbert ruined your race?"
