I contacted PH before posting who agreed it didn't constitute an advert at this stage. If there is any interest then that may change. I didn't think many people would read more than one model forum hence the additional 'plug'.
Along with an engine failure or other major mechanical failure chassis corrosion can be one of the most expensive faults to rectify.
I have been up front with my involvement - thought I was doing TVR owners a good turn !

Stick it in "General TVR Stuff" and close all the other threads, that's the best bet. R...

Is this really necessary, the guy might be trying to do people a favour, you must allow people to make up there own minds, or offer constructive criticism.

Thanks for putting me straight on that, I'll try to remember nest time . Before that though, take time to look at the majority of what I post, it normally has a helpful angle. I do not as a rule post put downs, in a year or two I hope you can say the same.

Apologies though to anyone else that had to read it, but it was about the 3/4 thread were I'd seen the same 'sales line'. Yes it may be trying to be helpful but there are rules about cross posting and not advertising, which IMHO, correctly or not, was being abused.

regards

Harry

Not really your call though - use the report abuse button and let PH decide.
Wish I had never bothered in the first place now.
Thank you to those that did respond, either negatively, positively or sceptically.

No, never feel you shouldn't bother, that was and is never my intention. I am sure there will be people on here that feel the need for such a device, indeed I believe someone has posted they already have one or something similar on one of the other threads.
I apologise if you feel that in expressing my views and concerns on mulitple cross posting and plugging a product is self-righteous pomposity, it is possibly , annoying probably .
Enough now, before we get into calling it whinging .

Best of luck and regards

Harry
