how to remove rear cerbera badge???
Discussion
I collected my cerb yesterday after a few years away from TVRs the car is stunning apart from the rear badge. The black paint has flaked off and I would really like to refurb it. So i had a look tonight but couldn't see any way of getting it of..
So I thought i'd open it up to the PH masses and see if anyone can advise!!
I am a bit of a numpty when it comes to the spanners etc but I really would like to do some maintenance myself to try andd keep the costs down.
Thought I'd start with a nice easy one!!!

Pull the carpet back on the inside. 2 10mm nuts. Done.
Hi Ridds,I noticed the carpet covering the rear lights were velcro'd on but the carpet coming down from the boot opening was glued down, I guess i just pull this up remove bolts then re-glue it after i have re -fitted the badge .
Seems easy enough , I'll go and give it a go.....
Thanks, glad it's been of some use.
I stripped the last of the paint of the badge with paint stripper then spayed the badge with black hammerite about 4 coats, then peeled the paint of Cerbera and around the edge with a stanley blade. I then gave it a few coats of clear laquer.
Picture before I put it back on the car, I'ts been on for about 16months and has been fine..

Just did mine recently, took it off the car and worked on it for a few evenings. Should have lacquered it like you did, though. The silver plating came away a little so I sanded all the way down to the Gold/bronze behind. Looks good in Gold writing with the black satin background. Much neater than before anyhow.

I spent £100 on getting both mine redone.....
They do look nice though.
Will post pics once I get new mounting hardware this weekend.
You earn too much.

Well i am a tight jock i was £9 to do that one on paint/primer. There not too bad but i bet your's will look good done with resin i take it?
Resurrecting this thread - I'm planning on doing what G2ORG B did but my badge has gold letters and numbers on it, rather than silver. Is the base colour of the gold badge actually gold, as I don't want to find out too late that it's silver when I go at the Hammerite on the lettering with a stanley knife.
If not think I'll have to get a fine brush and touch up where the black paint has chipped off.
