Bad day at work? how about a Lamborghini to pick you up
Discussion
Hi there,
Have you had one of those days, feeling tired ? need something to lift you up ?
Then how about a Lamborghini.

Was not 100% sure of the connection with the car maker, but it turns out that the owner of the company that makes the drink, Tonino Lamborghini is actually Ferruccio Lamborghini's son. The logos are very similar and there seems to be a 'bull' theme about all of the marketing for the drink, I reckon being his son is about as strong a connection as you can get.

Do any of you Lamborghini owners fancy helping me with the launch of the product into our chain of pubs ? We are planning on assembling a promotion using the Lamborghini drink in a similar way to Red Bull, therefore creating a 'Vodka Lamborghini'. Would it be to cheesy to market a drink as a 'Vodka Lamborghini' or in these times of credit crunch, (I can either take this drink up market and add a premium Vodka, or price it below a 'Vodka Red Bull' by using a cheaper 'house' Vodka) would it be a bit of a laugh ?
I am planning a tour of the 14 venues across Staffordshire/Derbyshire to promote this and could do with a car or two to help draw in the punters and get the attention of the local press.
Any thoughts, and if anyone has tried this drink what did think of it ?
Regards
Tim
P.S. Moderators, I am not touting for business with this post. I want to get an idea of the perception of this product among prestige car owners. If it breaks forum rules then please accept my apologies and delete the thread.

Hi,
Tried this drink and got a lambo drink t-shirt last Saturday - you guys sponsored a squash tournament in Berkshire.... I wasnt in the tournament (two left feet), but the organiser knew I had a G so duly gave me one to try - Very good
Gave the t-shirt to the wife (size medium turned out to be like a sausage skin on my belly!).
Happy to help promote it, i have some contacts you can email me.

I heard red bull is extremely bad for you. Especially when mixed with alcohol.
Have a look at this video - I have no link to this it is simply an observation.

Just so you are aware there is no connection with this drink and Automobili Lamborghini cars. Have you had one of those days, feeling tired ? need something to lift you up ?

Martin,I did not say that there was a direct connection with Automobili Lamborghini, merely pointing out that Tonino Lamborghini was the son of the founder of the Lamborghini marque - Ferruccio Lamborghini. I appreciate that Automobili Lamborghini is part of the VAG group now and as such is not connected with this product in anyway.
I guess from the wording of your comment that there has been some sort of official communication from the factory in the past distancing themselves from this product.

I recall reading recently that Tonino Lamborghini (the son of founder Ferrucio) was given the rights to use the Lamborghini name/logo/script, a long while back. Hence you may buy a Lamborghini drill on Italian shopping tv channels. To say the Automobili Lamborghini factory are a little embarassed by his products would be an understatement. What I find slightly sad is his companies deliberately vague way of branding their products. Many people must think his goods are Automibili Lamborghini sanctioned items - and they are not. If he truely believes in the quality of his products he should brand them totally clearly and seperately from the Auto manufacturer, for true credibility. Looking at his website, I just kept thinking 'knock off'. Which is a shame, because for all we know, some of that stuff may be good.

Its not an official quote. You said in your original post that you are not 100% sure of the connection with the factory so I was merely pointing out that there is no connection between Tonino Lamborghini products and Automobili Lamborghini cars.
Thats all.

For the lambo-vodka you should
-sit them down
-wire up a hairdryer to each arm of their jumper
-Make them down drink while turning on the hairdryers, shouting in their face, and shaking their chair lots.
They'll get out of the seat slightly deaf, disorientated, and hot&sweaty.
For added effect get a hot girl to sit on the chair beside them.
IF you go with my idea, £1 from each drink purchased should be wired to the "stuthemong diablo fund", s/c 203535 a/c 20483408308. Ta.
