Sorry- joining the topic about 2 weeks late... if you're referring to a blue Cerbera, that could have been me.
I was aware of the noise regs and had "invested" in some new back pipes from ACT to lose a bit of the exhaust noise. Thought I'd done enough... but Herr Marshal Chap told me the limit was 95dB and they give a little latitude to 101dB but I was 101.2dB and not going on track. I suppose that's fair enough but there was no way I was the loudest car there.. must have been blue cars, that weekend.
I was there with a few mates in various cars. We were a motley bunch with a grey V8 supercharged Supra, green MGC gey 996 turbo. I got around the track in those, so it didn't ruin the trip.
I also saw the Chimaera on the back of the truck- Ouch! Didn't see any other Cerberas.
It's pretty I'm not getting on many UK tracks until I do something.. maybe put the cats back in!

No problem, you were only tested as you blipped your throttle in the queue... you probably werent aware of it, but I was with a marshall by the exhausts at the time and it startled us both (I am used to them!).. he signalled for you to be tested unfortunately.
It looked ace though, I recommend silencing it a little and being verrrry careful up to the barrier - as you said, there were MUCH louder cars there... You were just unlucky. Nice to see a Cerb (Actually two) so far from home, shame it wasnt let out.. Oh and next time, dont leave your car in the carpark - put it in the overflow carpark on the other side of the roundabout/better still the field.
Bit of a pet hate of mine, those spaces should really only be used to check over cars/ buy tickets/ assess traffic before heading out. It was pretty busy that weekend so we kept having to go to the overflow and managed to get stuck inbetween closures queing to get back in which was really irritating!

I assumed I'd probably done a bit of blipping and caught attention. A bad habbit born from making sure I don't stall.
I did feel a little guilty about leaving the car there most of the day. But as you say, it was very busy that weekend and every time I was in the car park (and with a thought to move it), the place was grid-locked. Also- I'd paid my 22EURO for that parking place.. On the next occasion, I plan on spending more time on track and will be more considerate to fellow drivers (and other poor soles who've been banned!).
Having been "pulled" first thing in the morning, I had wondered if I'd tried again later in the afternoon (being verrrry careful on the throttle), would I have got out? The marshals obviously took note of car details, but how thorough are they at checking the black list, later in the day?

I did try to find you so that you could try and get through later sandwiched inbetween my car and my best mates... but no luck... its usually do-able.
I know what you mean about blipping it to avoid it stalling, it was just unlucky timing really. Plenty of cars got out that shouldnt have done anyway, like a clio 200 cup car on FULL slicks??!
Ah well... next time, next time..

Ah well... next time, next time.. Shame we didn't manage to catch up. It would have been good to get valuable knowledge from someone who knows the ropes. As a first timer, the entrance area feels a little chaotic- and all right before you take your car on an uninsured 20km blat!
One other thing that puts me off being excluded again, is the route back round to the track exit… “please go left and left again”… the bit the marshall didn’t say was you then have to do a U-ee whilst watching cars come straight at me down the main straight (all-be-it slowing for the exit)..
Just for the record- I have nothing against the marshalls. I was over the limit and they gave me a tug.. that’s the way it goes. I actually thought they did a pretty good job of keeping things moving and looking for transgressors. At one point, I did see them turn away a guy on a bike… with a kid on the back. The young lad would have been 10-ish! That sort of exclusion I whole-heartedly applaud!

Yeah, they can be fair, I think it was just the early morning startling that did it... Next time I go will be June next year, I'll let the Cerb lot know in advance, I dont know the place too well, but well enough to be of use to a few people hopefully.
I had to chat to the same marshal later on in the day in order to get someone cautioned, they very nearly caused me to crash coming out of foxhole, never looked in thier mirrors and found it most amusing when I eventually *squeezed* past despite them gesturing to punt me off the track... he was quite sensible with them too, shame the cowards didnt want to speak to me afterwards, but they instead just got a bunch of mates together to look at me disapprovingly? Meh. Ruined half a lap and put me in a bad mood for a few hours, so had to keep away from the track, but no real harm done. If they had nudged me as I passed (there was very little in it at 100mph too) the accident would have been very bad indeed and if they werent hurt during it, they definately would have been afterwards.
I think the Marshalls are very reasonable for the amount of crap they put up with, and as you say - were turning away people with younger kids or advising great caution.

I was there on 24th. How I got my Cerb through the marshals, I'll never know. I have decatted straight through pipes with a couple of 'token' inserts. I was very gentle into the queue and up the first couple of hundred metres though. Did get a few curious glances on my way back in - pop, bang, crackle, bang.
Fantastic experience.

Hi Tyre Smoke- Good to hear there were other Cerberas there.. Unfortunately, I didn't see you.
ridds- Another think learned for the next time is that weekends may not be the best option. I'm guessing we were doing the same as the thousands of other punters and trying to squeeze a trip in before the weather got really autumnal. As it goes, the weather was fantastic the whole weekend.
